The New York-Style Bagel Bakery & Deli has been serving up delicious bagels, sandwiches, and more in their three Virginia, USA locations for nearly 30 years. In addition to their dine-in and take-out options, they provide catering trays for any size event.
Despite being a favorite dining destination among longtime customers, this family-run bagelry and deli was losing catering business and missing out on new customer opportunities due to their website’s complicated online ordering system and outdated appearance.
Seadev comprehensively overhauled both the front and back-end of this hometown eatery’s website to provide a visually engaging and easy-to-navigate user experience. We enlisted a photographer from the client’s local community to capture vibrant, authentic photos of the bagel bakery and deli’s atmosphere and products which we incorporated into the website’s design to present a warm and welcoming tone to visitors. For their online ordering platform, we combined old technology with new technology by adapting a cutting edge e-commerce system to work with their kitchen’s preferred means of receiving orders via paper tickets. Now, when an online order is placed, an email relay system triggers a printed copy of the order at the customer’s designated store pickup location.
