The Human Resources Manager is an HR generalist responsible for the day-to-day operations of our critical HR functions. The successful HR Manager will have deep experience and networks in IT recruiting. A key result will be to improve Seadev’s Talent Management Process to ensure that Seadev can recruit, develop, and retain the in-house and contractor resources we need to successfully achieve our business objectives. Additionally, the HR Manager will be responsible for documenting and managing key policies and labor documents for compliance with Labor Law as well as for effective contract management. The HR Manager will be responsible for the payroll for both our Vietnamese employees, as well as international contractors. The HR Manager will also be responsible for managing compensation and benefits to keep Seadev’s C&B competitive. This will involve providing Leadership with insights, data, and recommendations into labor market trends.

Depending on the HR’s Manager interest and ability to take on additional projects, the HR Manager may work with Seadev’s Leadership Team to develop and execute a Talent Development program to help current Seadev team members upskill themselves and to develop a talent pipeline of recent graduates.  Another potential strategic project will be to develop and execute a plan to build Seadev’s Culture around our company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

The Human Resources Manager will report directly to the COO.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Native speaker of Vietnamese, fluent in English (writing, speaking, listening, reading)
  • BS degree (preferably a Business or HR degree, or equivalent experience)
  • 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources, 10-15 years preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in IT/software development HR Management
  • Experience with U.S./International HR Management preferred
  • Friendly, personable, and empathetic
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

What will you do?

  • Execute and improve our Talent Management process, including:
    • Partner with Seadev hiring managers to identify talent needs, develop job descriptions, and offer competitive compensation packages
    • Manage recruiting campaigns and fill multiple vacancies simultaneously
    • Manage employee onboarding and orientation processes
    • Act as a Voice of the Employee stakeholder in key company decisions
  • Ensure Labor Law Compliance
    • Advise Leadership Team on Labor Law compliance issues and risks
    • Perform policy development to meet company objectives
  • General Labor Policies
    • Maintain labor contracts and internal company policies
    • Perform policy development to meet company objectives
  • Manage Compensation & Benefits
    • Advise on local labor and salary trends
    • Manage company C&B to remain competitive and achieve the company’s business objectives
    • Measure employee satisfaction and develop effective action plans to improve employee satisfaction and retention
  • Payroll Processing
    • Run monthly payroll for Seadev Vietnam and Seadev US
    • Maintain accurate records of personnel and payroll data
